Mentor Wisdom: "He who works all day, has no time to make money." - John D. Rockefeller, Oil Magnate & Philanthropist

Mentor Lesson: Busy doesn't mean productive

The world’s first billionaire said something that sounds completely backwards at first.

John D. Rockefeller told people that working all day meant you had no time to actually make money. That feels like saying you're too busy chopping wood to sharpen the axe.

Here's why that matters.

Think about what happens when you're buried in the day-to-day stuff.

You're answering emails, putting out fires, doing the tasks that are just busy work dressed up as progress. You're busy, sure.

But are you building anything that lasts? Are you creating systems that work without you?

Rockefeller wasn't saying don't work hard. He was saying that if all you do is work IN your business, you never get the chance to work ON your business.

That's where the real money shows up.

The entrepreneurs who win are the ones who step back and think.

They block off their calendar every Friday morning to review what's actually moving the needle and what's just keeping them busy. Instead of diving straight into the chaos, they learn from people who've already figured this stuff out so they don't have to learn everything the hard way.

Block off some time this week to think. Review what's actually working. Learn from someone who's been there.

That’s it for now.
